23 Aug Sunshine Suit
A few years ago, I mostly avoided wearing yellow because I thought it was a tricky color. Experts often say yellow is harder to wear than neutrals due to all its different shades, so I even considered seeing a color consultant. It’s a big trend in Japan—they help you find the best shades based on your skin, eyes, hair, and even bone structure. I’ve had plenty of moments where I thought I looked great in the fitting room, but later, photos made me realize the color didn’t flatter me. If I ever go, I’ll report back!
About this gorgeous dress… it was definitely an impulse buy! I was at an outlet, doing my usual rounds at Kate Spade. I love their vibrant designs, and when I saw this dress, I was instantly transported to a summer day in a European village. The discount was too good to pass up, plus I didn’t have many yellow dresses in my closet, so I decided to go for it. I paired it with leather accessories—bag and shoes—to keep it casual. My Hermes Oran sandals are my go-to summer shoes, and they’re so worn out already. Once they’re completely unwearable, I’ll buy the same pair without hesitation. I have wide feet, but after a few wears, they became the most comfortable shoes I own. It’s like breaking in the famous Rainbow flip flops—uncomfortable at first, but then they feel like butter. With my favorite casual sandals and this sunny yellow dress, I’m ready to enjoy the rest of summer 🙂 I can’t wait to take this dress around the world!
