Festive in Fairmont

A few days before we flew to Idaho to spend holidays with family, we went to the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco to celebrate THE season ðŸ™‚ We even stayed overnight at the hotel and enjoyed the twinkling lights in the city. I’ve known about the famous gingerbread house in Fairmont for some time now, but I haven’t seen it despite the hotel being not so far from our house.

It is two stories, and shockingly, IT IS REAL!! When I checked in, I had a small talk with the receptionist to find out they make a gingerbread house with real ingredients that are glued with icing and toss them when display time is over! The display apparently opened on Thanksgiving Day, so by the time we saw it, it was already about a month old. I could see stuff falling down a bit already, but it was still going strong and beautiful. If you are in the area or planning to visit SF during the holiday season next year, I highly recommend visiting the display! There were many families visiting the display late at night 😉 Even though SF was freezing at night, I felt so warm and magical seeing the many smiles of kids and their families!

Moving onto this matching festive outfit, I chose to pull my Saloni dress from my closet. I am still so in love with this Saloni dress; I think the gems on the bows are so special. If they make a toddler version of this, I will get it in a heartbeat! For the time being, though, I got a similar dress from Etsy, and she looked so adorable in it 😉 She was obsessed with her bag while taking photos; she insisted on holding it the entire time. It was so great to see her looking at this massive tree display and engaging with it. Speaking of display, she even tried to take the candy off of the gingerbread house. She is so fast and sneaky; I cannot take my eyes off her for a second haha. I hope you are having a relaxing holiday season, and see you in 2024!
