26 Aug Mulberry Bayswater in Oak

Goooood morning! As I promised last week, I am sharing my new work bag with you 🙂 I have been really in need of a work bag since I have been going to the office more recently. I have been working from home for the last 3 years, so I was not in need of one. My new company gave me a backpack as a part of an onboarding swag, but I am really not a backpack girl, especially a typical tech company backpack looks one. I usually wear a dress to work and a backpack would not go together.

Before I went on the hunt, I had a clear vision of the color of the bag I wanted to get. Since I wear my brown Hermès Oran sandals with dress every time, it was no brainer for me to get a work bag in brown as well for a cohesive look. I considered a black bag, but it would be too serious and harsh for my wardrobe. Also, I really wanted to avoid taking a bag with a loud logo to my workplace. I think it is way classier to have a quiet and good quality bag rather than telling everyone at work how and where I spend my money 😉 Only problem I faced was to find a bag that was big enough for the MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro is pretty wide and heavy, so that the bag must be strong and spacious.

In the end, I eliminated down to 2 bags from Mulberry, which were Bayswater tote and regular Bayswater. Bayswater Tote was a little more spacious, so that I could fit my laptop comfortably and it was absolutely beautifully made. However, it did not have enough security since the top didn’t have any closure. For that reason, I went for regular Bayswater in the end! My laptop is snug in this bag, but I can adjust the strap inside to loosen slightly. It is such a gorgeous leather bag with great craftsmanship! I will cherish this bag till it completely falls apart 😉
