18 Aug Mulberry Mini Alexa Bag in Portobello Blue

Good morning! I wanted to share this happy news bright and early. I posted in July that I bought my first pair of Jimmy Choo shoes inspired by this Mulberry bag (read here). They are both the same tone of metallic blue and they are a perfect match. I am excited about wearing these shoes and bag together with a bunch of my outfit. The color is pretty vivid, but I think it is the perfect color to spice up the neutral looks.

Talking about mini Alexa, I also wrote in another blog post that I own the same bag in coral orange. When I like the size and shape of a bag so much, I tend to buy in different colors as well. Why not buy another one if you know it works so well 🙂 Do you have the same tendency? Also, same as the last purchase at Mulberry, I had a great discount on this bag. Mini Alexa in portobello blue was slightly more expensive than the orange one. It was originally $1500 and it got discounted down to $1200! Who doesn’t love a good saving!

Another lucky thing happened on top of that. I saved up money and I was ready to buy this bag last week. When I was trying to buy it online, I noticed the bag was already off the website due to the off season. I checked other websites like FarFetch but it was about $1600, so I had to save a little more money. Disappointed and deeply regretted that I didn’t get it sooner, but it is all part of the game in the luxury market. I have been through that too many times.

One other day, I went into the mall to look for the perfect work bag and I ended up in a Mulberry store. While I was trying some bags, I told a lady there how sad I was that I couldn’t get my hand on mini Alexa bag in metallic blue. Then a miracle happened. She said “wait a moment, I think we have just one in the back. We were planning to ship all the inventory back to England tomorrow. Let me bring it out here.” At that moment, I felt like I had just experienced the work of the bag god 😉 I was just in time to grab one last bag left in the stock room! It must be a good Karma! So, you know the rest; I, of course, bought the bag 😉 I feel blessed and happy to be the owner of this vibrant bag! I also fulfill my purpose of getting my work bag there, so I will cover that in next post as well. Stay tuned 🙂
