Red, Purple & Yellow

“2011 Gucci spring/summer ready to wear” – this was my inspiration for this outfit. I remember watching this fashion show on the train back home from high school and how shocked I was in a good way. I was thinking to myself, how could they mix so many vivid colors in one outfit yet manage to keep it so sophisticated?   Till I witnessed the show, my definition of a chic/elegant outfit was something with a neutral tone, preferably all black. The Gucci show broke so many rules I had in mind that it was so refreshing, and I began to experiment with colors more. Though it is a tough balance to manage, I believe that in order to achieve a classy look while mixing some ballsy colors, we should pay extra attention to the quality and fit of the clothing. Without them, we have a high risk of looking cheap and childish. It was definitely a fun thing to put them together and I will continue to experiment with colors!
