28 Apr 6 months with Katya
Happy half birthday to my little angel Katya!!
Katya had 6 months doctor visit and she weighed 16lb 6.1oz (53rd percentile) and measured 26 inches (51st percentile)! It was her 3rd time getting immunization and my poor baby cried hard when needle poked her but she forgot about it in a minute. Katya also got Rotavirus vaccine which is taken orally, but she pretty much spat out all of it so, her doctor had to give it to her again. Even though she was on her back while getting vaccine, she managed to not take any of it. Because she was so talented, doctor told us good luck with feeding her lol.
Some milestones that Katya reached this month are…
- Knows familiar people
- Cries when she sees or is held by unfamiliar people
- Laugh
- Makes squealing noises
- Reaches to grab a toy she wants
- Grabbing her feet and sucking on her toes
- Sitting up for a few seconds at a time, when put in a sitting position
When we visited Idaho to see Erik’s grandma, we got oatmeal for infant to try. Few days before her 6 months appointment, we made oatmeal and fed her. She did not take it well and spat out most of it. Doctor was right. Please wish us luck for feeding baby food to her 🙂
Can’t believe that she is already hitting half way mark of her first birthday! Excited to see what she can do by her 1st birthday but I want her to stay a little baby as long as she can. Don’t grow up too fast my angel!!
