How We Spent X’mas

Our very first X’mas as three and also first one in our home! As you can easily imagine, I was over the moon about it!

We did not do anything special on Christmas but just chilled throughout the day. Spending the Christmas day with Katya in our first home was already super special for me;) Here are some things that we did!

  • On Christmas Eve night, we started watching “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas” and “Dr. Suess’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. Erik fell asleep during Grinch but it was my first time so I wanted to watch everything. I think I slept around 2am.
  • Slept in and started the day around noon. (haha). Erik was Facetiming his family since they live in Idaho.
  • Made snowflake pancakes for late lunch. Some were burnt but it was fun making them for the first time 🙂
  • Took picture of Katya all day long. My favorite one was with Starbucks snowman cookie and I couldn’t help myself taking million pictures haha. (Can you blame me?)
  • Read Katya a customized Christmas book. She was not paying attention at all but it’s okay since it was for my satisfaction hehe.
  • Exchanged gifts with Erik and opened stockings. Also gave Katya a gift and helped her tear the wrapping paper 🙂 We gave her a ballerina rattle doll and as for stocking filler, we gave her breast milk in a bottle haha.
  • Because in Japan, people tend to order KFC for Christmas, we were going to order chicken from KFC, but it was closed that day. Erik prepared dinner with Van de Kamp’s fish fillet that we always keep in the freezer for emergency lol. Also, following Japanese tradition on Christmas day, I had a cake 🙂
  • Had a Christmas movie marathon. Two out of many movies we watched were “Elf” and “Christmas Story.” Erik & Katya were pretty sleepy during the movies but I was awake the entire time. Just love Christmas movies so much!

How did you spend your Christmas day? Please share with me!
