27 Sep Hello Square Toe Sandals
Hey guys! How are you doing? I had a bit busy weekend. My husband and I went to Tahoe for his friend’s wedding. It was such a beautiful day witnessing the love. The weather was so perfect for the outdoor wedding. The wedding was on Saturday, and I had to work on Sunday. I wish I could enjoy Tahoe little more and relax on Sunday, but instead of nice lake day I was working remotely from Tahoe haha. Anyway, it was great weekend. Now all the fun is over and back at home, I feel exhausted. Anyways, this week in California will be hot like summer. I am excited to spend probably last hot weather of this year!
For today’s post, I wanted to share my recent obsession: Square toe sandals. They have been one of the hottest trends for a while. Starting from brand like Bottega Veneta, now many fashion houses are jumping on the trends. I don’t have a Bottega budget for this trend, but I still wanted to enjoy this edgy trend. This is a tip from me here: best way to go when you don’t want to or cannot invest on trends that shift in few years is to go for affordable brand route. Since trend is not there to stay for long time, I always test it out with affordable brand first. If I really love the trend, then, there is a possibility of investing. No matter how much I love the trend, that is the step I always take. When you have limited amount of budget that you can spend on fashion, you have to make the smart choice. If the piece I want to buy will for sure be a staple in my close (classic piece) then I would definitely invest. Going back to square toe trend, When I saw it all over the magazines and Instagram I was obsessed. This shape makes the outfit 200% cooler and make it more street style. I love how minimal it looks when the square toe shape comes in mule as well. I first got one in white to try the trend out. Then, after I fell in love with the white one, I knew I needed in every single color haha. In the end, I managed to stop my impulse, and got them in other basic colors, nude and black as well as in not so basic color, light blue. I already wore them with many outfits which I cannot wait to share them with you.! They could be worn with casual outfit to run errand, with fancy dress, and with everything in between. My 4 square toe sandals I bought are listed below 😉 I highly recommend to try this trend!
My 4 Square toe sandals: Black squared toe heels from ALDO (exact here), White squared toe heels from ALDO (exact here), Nude squared toe heels from ALDO (similar here), Light blue squared toe heels from Banana Republic Factory (similar here).
