Tea Par-tea Menu

For this blog post I want to talk about food and drinks we had at the bridal shower. My sister in law was kind enough to host it for me. I was very grateful for her going out of her way to do that! Mainly My SIL and my mother in law prepared the finger foods that go with tea par-tea theme. There were different types of sandwiches and pastries. Here is the list that they prepared for the shower. Most of them were homemade.

Food

  • Chicken Croissants with grapes & walnut
  •  Prosciutto, basil & goat cheese sandwich
  • Cranberry brie flatbread
  • Cucumber & dill tea sandwich
  • Egg salad sandwich
  • Radish & goat herb cheese canapes
  • Spinach dip pastry
  • Veggie plate
  • Fruit bowl
  • Blueberry & lavender scones
  • Raspberry & hibiscus scones
  • Madeleines
  • Macarons

Drink

  • Teas (few kinds)
  • Homemade sugar cubes (lemon, lavender, & hibiscus)
  • Mimosa
  • Champagne
  • Orange juice (by itself or mix with champagne)
  • Lemonade (by itself or mix with champagne)
  • Mix berry juice (by itself or mix with champagne)
  • Cut fruits for mixed champagne drink (strawberry, raspberry, & blueberry)
  • Water

I remember they had a meeting about what foods to make about 3 months before the shower. Then, I knew how much planning it took to host this event, even though on the actual day, time flew by like a speed of light. There are also family friends, grandmother in law, and aunt and cousin in law involved to make this happen. I have never had a party that somebody hosted for me, so I was very happy and thankful. I definitely felt special! I was talking with my guests the entire shower, so I couldn’t sit down to taste the food and drink too much. When shower ended, I was starving!  I took leftovers to eat at home, and they were so good that I ate them a lot :)) I usually don’t like sandwiches, but I like tea sandwiches. They were great. I especially like the prosciutto one. The prosciutto looked like a rose and it was delicious;) I loved scones too!  They were not too sweet and went perfect with tea. Guests seemed to be enjoying the foods as well! Thanks to all of my in laws to make this happen. In comment section share foods that you like to eat with your tea!

To yummy tea par-tea foods,

Fatima
