14 Jan Bridal Shower Kawaii!
Hey guys! Hope you are having great time in 2020 because I am so far! I just had my bridal shower past weekend (January 11th) and I got to see my friends and new family there! Sometime seeing them is what I need to relax from all the stress of wedding planning. I am not organized type and figuring out logistics gives me headache. I don’t enjoy planning wedding, so last Saturday was great time escaping from reality 😉 I want to talks about food, décor and games at the bridal shower, but for today’s post I want to talk about my outfit I wore for the event.
I got my dress 8 months prior having bridal shower in mind. It is from a brand called Self-portrait and this dress is not available online right now. I got this from French pre-loved online store called Vestiaire Collective. They are known for accurate authentication on second handed high brand items. I had specific look in mind, so I went there to get this exact dress. I love Self-portrait and I think everyone should have one item from there. It just elevates your look and elegant. You cannot find anything similar from any retailer. When I even find copy item, once I know how it feels in Self-portrait, it is not even close to the real one in quality. Fabric is very unique and quite heavy. You can tell it is absolutely well-maid if you wear it once. I highly recommend trying this brand!! I own three dresses and every time I wear one, I get a lot of compliments including from strangers. It is UK brand and I knew this brand because Kate Middleton wore it (they still sell the exact dress!). It runs smaller than your usual sizing so I recommend trying it on in store. Some Nordstrom carries Self-portrait. I will leave some similar look from self-portrait here and here.
My shoes are from Bella Belle Shoes. They mainly have wedding shoes there and I believe it is also a UK brand. I think they launched in US as well, so you don’t need to pay any custom. My style is Elsa in Ivory (exact here) and it has a subtle sparkle. I love these shoes and I am wearing this for my wedding as well. Bella belle has variety of styles so I think you can find your pairs there too. I also want to get a Giselle in Ivory and their evening shoes. Very dainty and elegant.
My earrings are my favorite! They are from Lele Sadoughi and style is Trumpet Lily Drop Earrings in pearl color (exact here). I own another pair in pink because they are freaking adorable. It is not heavy, so you don’t need to worry about uncomfortable and saggy earlobe.
My fascinator is from Amazon (exact here). It was tea party theme, so I wanted to wear fascinator and pretend that I am attending a Royal wedding. I just picked the one that has both clip and headband, so I can switch depends on hairstyle. I also wanted it to be big. Why not give a little drama 😉
Finally, my custom maid “Mrs. Rowen” clutch bag is from Etsy seller called TheBrodieBride (exact here). I love anything personalized and Etsy is a great place to shop for custom wedding item. I love how mine came out and it goes with this outfit perfectly. To add about little detail of my look, I got my make-up done at Ulta. I think it came out good. It was dramatic as I wanted, but also, I felt that my “dewy” look was borderline “oily”. I also got my nails done in powder pink (sweet romance by DND). Getting my nails in shades of pink, nude and red is my default. Also, I always get my nails short. It is my preference, but I cannot stand long nails. So that is it guys! Did you have any favorite one? Do let me know in the comment section below!
