Spotted: Foreign F in Serena’s dress from Van Der Bilt Charity Polo Match. Uh oh. Looks like somebody better call the fashion police.

I am so happy I am finally writing this blog because Gossip Girl has such a special part in my heart. I ADORE Gossip Girl! Thanks to Gossip Girl, I learned a lot of English and how often I should shop. I do not care much about the love drama between characters because it gets old toward the end, but their fashion is D-I-V-I-N-E. It is without the question so iconic and I got many good outfit ideas from it (still). My favorite styles are Blair, Serena, & Lily. I think my inspo comes a lot from them and when I choose outfit, I ask myself what they would wear. I also love Diana Payne’s (remember?) sophisticated sexy outfit. Very simple but with her body shape, it’s very effective. My least favorite styles are little J when she went punk and Vanessa. They are just everything that is not me. Once in a while, Vanessa wears beautiful gown and I see hope in her outfit choice but then I soon lose faith in her.
Anyway, how I came up with this blog post goes back to 2 weeks before Halloween. I was scrolling thru The Real Real website religiously and I saw this orange evening gown from Marchaesa Notte. Because I watched GG like million times, my brain immediately recognized it and searched online when Serena appeared with this dress. After I check the episode (Season 3 episode 1), I click the “add to bag” bottom in the light speed. I mean how could I not buy same dress that master of poor love decision maker, Serena Van Der Woodsen wore? Because the Halloween was fast approaching, I thought it was perfect to be Serena for the fun post. I love this orange color and how it shines under the sun. I remember how excited I was to see this one shoulder dress when I first saw the episode. I never knew I liked orange in clothes until this moment. Only difference between Serena dress and mine is the slit. She had to get on a horse so for practical reason they modified the dress. I honestly think this dress could use the slit but it is still beautiful without it. It is so funny how I end up with the dress from spring 2009 collection. It has been 10 years since this dress was sold. This is why I love the pre-loved shop (yes, I call it pre-loved, not used) because you could end up with pretty magical item. I wore silver heels from Guess (similar here) and gold bangle which was given to me by my little, Michelle as a bridesmaid gift (came in handy). In the comment section, tell me your favorite style icon from GG!
Until next time…
