Katya Finally Meets My Parents!

The wait is over!! After waiting for 9 long months, my parents finally got to see their granddaughter, Katya! They’ve only seen Katya through FaceTime and photos and videos that I sent to them, so you can imagine their excitement at finally holding her 😉

Since this is a monumental occasion for us, I decided to book a photographer for family portraits. As for the backdrop, I was contemplating the ocean and mountains. The ocean in Hawaii is absolutely gorgeous, but also the greenery of the mountains is spectacular. Because I have done maternity photos at the beach before, I decided to opt for mountains this time.

The location of the photoshoot was at Kualoa Regional Park, which was very close to the location where Jurassic Park was filmed. No wonder the mountains looked so wild and powerful! We took Lyft from Honolulu to get there, and 15 min before arrival, it started raining. Luckily, it stopped 5 minutes before we arrived, so I was very thankful! I was originally aiming for sunny golden hour photos, but it had a gloomy tone to them. Overall, I was happy that we could get the family picture to keep and I feel so blessed to call them my family 😉 Can’t wait to frame the picture!

I am planning to share a bit of my Hawaii trip with you in different post, but meanwhile, I will leave some of my favorite pictures from the family photoshoot 🙂
